Dubai, UAE, June 23023: DAMAC Properties is pleased to announce that it has yet again won ‘Developer of the Year’ at the Global RLI (Retail and Leisure International) Awards which took place recently in London.

The 18th edition of the Global RLI Awards was held at the Pan Pacific London, gathering the most visionary and innovative retail and leisure concepts from around the world.

Over the past year, DAMAC Properties has launched several projects including Cavalli Couture, DAMAC Bay 1 and 2, Canal Heights 1 and 2, Canal Crown as well as multiple clusters in our third and latest master development, DAMAC Lagoons. The company has also announced plans on its new project in Miami’s Surfside neighbourhood in the US and has been keeping pace with construction of its luxury resort project in the Maldives, operated by global hospitality brand, Mandarin Oriental.

After hosting the awards as a hybrid event in London at The Londoner Hotel in 2021 and in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at the British Embassy last year, RLI hosted the celebrated award to London where they continue to strive for excellence in an industry and continue to collaborate and recognise achievements and ground‐breaking projects around the world.

The evening began with a reception where colleagues in the industry. As
anticipation started to build, Presenter Shona Lindsay and RLI Publisher Jayne Rafter took to the stage to commence an evening of celebration and
entertainment.

In her opening speech, RLI Publisher Jayne Rafter said: “Tonight we will honour the most visionary and innovative retail and leisure concepts from across the globe. The retail and leisure industry is exciting, dynamic and innovative and the Awards pay tribute to those companies that continue to push the boundaries; who are not afraid of the challenges that they are presented with; and who refuse to settle for anything but the very best.”

The award ceremony was preceded by an exquisite three‐course meal followed which guests were treated to West End Entertainment in the form of The Tina Turner Musical where a tribute was paid to the recently deceased musical icon.

Over a matter of 18 months, the developer has launched 10 new luxury branded residences in prime locations across Dubai, with more planned in the pipeline.
