Prime Minister Duško Marković hosted earlier today Chairman of global property development company DAMAC Properties, Hussain Sajwani, who expressed interest in building hotel resorts of the highest category in Montenegro.

Prime Minister Marković, noting economic and political conditions in the country, presented numerous facts illustrating Montenegro’s investment competitiveness, and especially emphasised the fact that NATO membership and leading position in the European integration process positioned Montenegro as the most prestigious investment destination in the region.

Mr Sajwani briefed the Prime Minister on the business model of DAMAC and DAMAC Group, which has been holding the position of leading builder in the luxury real estate sector in the Middle East markets since 2002, with the most significant projects in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Lebanon and Oman. The Chairman of DAMAC expressed satisfaction regarding his visit to Montenegro and meeting with the Prime Minister, saying that he is seriously interested in building five-star luxury hotel resorts in the country.

PM Marković assessed that the interest of such serious investors as DAMAC is a great recognition for Montenegro, as it shows confidence in our reforms, with particular emphasis on favourable investment opportunities in the Northern Region.
